Venue Profile: Martini Ranch

Scottsdale’s Martini Ranch is one of Arizona’s best venues. Small, clean, and well set up, Martini is one of my personal favorite venues.

Name: Martini Ranch

Location: 7295 E. Stetson Drive, Scottsdale, AZ 85251

Size: The Main Room holds approximately 500 people.

Parking: Yes, but arrive early to avoid parking on the street in the surrounding area of Old Town Scottsdale.

Security: This venue is much more relaxed in terms of security. Bags are not checked at the door and there is no barrier to the stage. The only security present serves to check IDs to prevent underage patrons from drinking at the multiple bars at the venue.

What To Bring

  • Camera
  • Light sweater- the small size of the venue means that it is very well air-conditioned. It gets chilly sometimes so come prepared.
  • Water bottle- avoid paying the outrageous $3 for water by bringing your own.
  • Photo ID

What Not to Bring

  • Weapons of any kind- it’s poor concert etiquette to bring weapons to a show. No need to make other people nervous. Plus, it could get you kicked out.
  • Open-toed shoes- this one’s a no-brainer. If you wear sandals or flip flops, you will get stepped on.

Remember: Martini Ranch is a bar. If you are underage, there are a few areas off to the side that you are not allowed to stand, but that should not detract from your concert experience. Personally, I have never seen a bad show at this venue. Whether a local band is playing, or a big name act, the set up makes every spot in the venue a good one. The Main Room is small enough that, no matter where you stand, you will be able to see the stage and get great pictures to boot.

When looking for venue reviews, many of them were negative until I realized that most of them deal with the clubbing part of Martini Ranch. Every weekend the venue hosts local house bands for the 21+ crowd to drink and be merry with friends. However, as far as concerts go, all ages shows are always a great experience.

Rock on, my friends.
